The Most Important Person in the World

Snow AngelRecently a caller asked the following question during our weekly radio show and it is a helpful reminder give unto the self.

How can I improve my daily habits so that I do the activities that are the most helpful for my growth?
Excellent question, for many have good thoughts and desires of what to do in the sense of all things in their life but tend to undermine the self, having a desire to do this or that but then procrastinating giving unto the self. That is a very human experience, this procrastination. So what we would speak to is that you start with just a few minutes. Such as a meditation, many say I want to meditate, I know it is good for me, I don’t have time. But when you do the meditation you’ll find as if you have more time in your day because you are more focused. So begin with small amounts begin with 5 minutes but do it daily. Schedule important appointments with yourself. Let us say that you’re setting this appointment with self in the morning time to do the meditation. Do not let others distract you. Say, ‘I have this important appointment,’ as if you’re meeting the most important person in the world, that you deem the most important. You would not miss that appointment. So begin to think in this way. And the proper nutrition, think not of it as deprivation but what you’re giving to the body to create a healthful state of being energetically. And as you go along and find resistance speak to the inner part of your being, the fragmented aspect of yourself, that is blocking your success in this out of a belief of not being worthy or acceptable or loveable. When you bring these orphans home you tend to care for the physical for you know the joy of completeness and you’ll want to continue on with it. So you’ll create experiences to follow through, the baby steps count. And then you go about running about.

I seem to run forward in a fast movement and then I pull back and get resistance.
It is because you’re trying to do too much at once. You do it all at once and you’re exhausted from it. So you do small amounts building up to a habitual regime and then it will be effortless and it will not exhaust you as it has. When you’re on a path of personal growth you will have certain down times which your body is catching up to because it is energetic frequencies that you’re aligning to and your body has to adjust. Give yourself permission for these respites.
Be childlike and playful during these times. You will meet your goals but it is important to enjoy it along the way for it to remain a consistency. Look for the magic, look for the confirmation. If you’re taking a walk, invite confirmation in your external world of a manifestation to occur in front of your eyes. Have that wanderlust that a child has in each thing the enthusiasm that is seen and you will have a fresh eye, fresh vision.

Make those appointments with yourself and enjoy the snow angels.
Happy Holidays!

Magical

meditation-alex-bramwell-las-palmas-spainWhen I was small there were often times I wanted to be Samantha from Bewitched and wiggle my nose and have things magically change. (When I was small…who am I kidding, I would love to wiggle my nose and have my house clean and dinner made tonight.) What does seem to be a bit magical and within our grasp is the intuition and guidance I believe we all have available to us. I liken ‘openness to your intuition’ and ‘awareness of guidance,’ to playing the flute; some have a natural gift and can pick it up and play while others must practice to play beautiful music. I know there are those of you thinking, how do you practice connecting with guidance? I believe a key component is meditation. Meditation has allowed me to quiet my mind so I can listen to my inner/higher self and open to the guidance about me.

THEO speaks about meditation as being fundamental in allowing us to: communicate with our spiritual guides, balance our energy, connect with our higher self, experience peace and joy, manifest abundance, sustain a healthful state as well as open us up to full soul integration.

We speak often of meditation, and it seems redundant to do so, but that is the best form the quietness of mind. Meditate regularly, needs not be great lengths of time, but this allows you to rest the physical body and align with the higher frequencies allowing for a better healthful state. And this allows one to come into balance and openness to the universal energies that are ever present.

When ones become very adept and find a great sense of well being within that state would prefer a bit of longer meditative process daily than not. However, in the beginning it is to meditate a few minutes daily, habitually. Chose the form that is psychologically and emotionally comfortable to you. There are moving meditations, there are meditations to be sitting quietly, there are meditations to be done in nature. So it is whatever is acceptable to one at the time to utilize the quietness of mind, the centering of self. And breathing deeply and exhaling completely so one is fully present in body. Meditation is physiologically excellent, for it allows a rest for the nervous system; it allows a quietness; it allows the body to come into balance. So a meditation is a function that assists in the whole body balance. Daily meditation induces a lightness of being and connectedness to our souls.
” THEO

THEO, how do we surrender and move into a place of allowing all of the magnificence to come into our lives verses the doing that we are all so human and expert at doing?

That is what meditation is, the allowance. The quieting the mind - the non-doing. It is a rest for the physical body and it is an allowance for the soul to be illumined.” THEO

I know when I meditate on a regular basis I am more peaceful, feel more connected/more aware and live my life in a more loving manner. I don’t have a meditation regime, sometimes it is two minutes of sitting quietly focusing on my breathing and other times it is listening to one of THEO’s guided meditations. They both help bring the best of me into my daily experience. I can say, enthusiastically, I really enjoy THEO’s guided meditations. Having a guide through a meditation helps quiet my mind, I like the variety of meditations and I resonate with THEO’s energy. If you haven’t tried a guided meditation I encourage you to try out our complimentary guided meditation Awakening to the Soul.

If you’ve used one of THEO’s guided meditations please feel free to share your experience by clicking on the comment link below.

Here’s to more peace and joy – and if anyone figures out the Samantha nose wiggle thing, please let me know.

Peace and Joy

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Theo, tell us about the laws of the universe and how we can work with those laws to manifest and to be in the highest state of peace and joy in our being.

Utilizing a meditative state on a regular basis. It needs not be a great length of time, however, when ones become very adept at finding great sense of well being within that state would prefer a bit of longer meditative process daily than not. However, in the beginning it is to meditate a few minutes daily, habitually. And this allows one to come into balance and openness to the universal energies that are ever present about. The usage of visualization; visualizing what it is that one desires, feeling what it is that one desires in the experience now. For one cannot describe the energies because that would be too complex in the human mind, most human minds let us say, have not the ability to describe energetic complexity. So it is a feeling of process. And it is also a review recognition of the growth that has been. For too often there is this asking and realization that one has not done enough, so it is important that ones review and recognize what has been done.
